Clarisse Agbégnénou
Olympic Champion of Judo
Clarisse Agbégnénou is a French judoka competing in the under 63kg category.
She holds the most records in French women’s judo: several World Championship titles (2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2023), three Olympic gold medals for judo (1 individual and 2 for team events) and an individual bronze medal from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
She was elected to the High-Level Athletes Commission on the French National Olympic and Sports Committee for the 2021-2025 term.
She much more than a judoka. As a young mother, Clarisse is also committed to social issues: gender equality, motherhood, education and well-being. Clarisse also has a keen interest in physical and mental health issues (she has trained as a life coach).
