The latest UN Women report clearly highlights the importance of aligning sustainable development objectives with those relating to gender diversity: on the one hand because women are on the front line when it comes to the risks of climate change and on the other hand in light of the huge planet-wide challenge that eco-system preservation represents, which cannot be tackled without fully involving half of humanity in the related decisions and actions.
In this context, the Arborus Fund has been invited to New York on March 22 2018, along with a selection of representative companies, to present the GEEIS (Gender Equality European & International Standard) and explain the best practices that have been put into place by the companies who have pledged to implement the standard. Anne-Claire Berg, Director of Culture and Commitment for Danone will be part of the delegation, and will share what the group is doing to drive women’s autonomy in line with economic, social and environmental sustainable development objectives.
Other companies that are working with Arborus, including our partners Orange and L’Oréal, will be sharing their stock of best practices via video testimonies.
