The eighth edition of the EVE International seminar will be opening its doors in Evian in three weeks.
Ahead of this important event that will bring together 350 new managers and directors for three days of inspiration and respiration devoted to balanced leadership, the EVE webmagazine presents the essential facts about the Program in six key figures.
1 motto: Be yourself and unleash your potential
The EVE Program gets to grips with the question of gender balance in corporate leadership by helping participants discover how they can open up new possibilities and take bolder action. Its aim is to create stronger and more inspiring individuals who will bring about change, and the Program invites everyone involved to develop an authentic and daring approach.
The program’s tagline, “Be yourself to unleash your potential”, can be seen on social networks using the hashtag #BeYourself
3 major international seminars
The first EVE event took place in 2010 in Evian, and there has been an Asia-Pacific edition since 2014. EVE is being launched on the African continent in December 2017.
This internationalization of EVE is driven by its intention to build and share a universal culture of balanced leadership while adapting how change happens according to various regional contexts.
A community of 2,800 enlightened managers and directors
Every year, EVE international brings together 350 managers and directors. EVE Asia Pacific has 150 participants at each edition. EVE Africa is expecting to see 140 people attend in Dakar from December 12 to 14, 2017.
In total more than 2,800 individuals have taken part in EVE to date.
7 official partners and 5 sponsors
EVE is an intercompany program, because by bringing together and contrasting points of view, change can emerge, and by sharing “best & next practices”, this change can create a ripple effect.
Seven companies, who have been committed to the program for several years, form the pool of official partners, represented by the Wise Committee: Caisse des Dépôts, Crédit Agricole S.A., Danone, KPMG, L’Oréal, Orange, and SNCF. Each of these companies sends at least 30 participants to each edition of EVE International.
The sponsor companies, (Accor, Kering, Société Générale, Carrefour, and Vivendi) send at least 10 employees to the event. Around a dozen other companies are represented at EVE by ambassador teams made up of one to five people.
20% men
EVE is a women’s leadership seminar which involves men in the process of thinking, debating, and taking action so that responsibilities can be distributed more equally. Each company participating in the Program agrees to send between 20 and 25% of men to the seminar. Yes, we do use a specific quota… And the percentage wasn’t a random choice: 1 in 5 is the proportion of women in senior management roles within large companies globally.
Inverting the situation for a seminar gives men the chance to experience what it’s like to be in the minority, to better understand the inclusion issues that women encounter in their daily professional lives.
More than 50 countries represented
EVE is a complete network of enlightened leaders who spread the culture of boldness, openness, and managerial innovation throughout the world. No fewer than 50 countries are represented at the EVE International seminar.
Given its multicultural character, the Program carries universal values: participation for all: women and men, from a vast array of backgrounds and points of view, in decision-making, change-building and the development of a shared future.
